Charlesfort
I have been to Kinsale many, many times and have always enjoyed going there. On a summer's day it is generally very busy, and there is an excellent atmosphere. Every time I go to Kinsale, I park a bit outside the main town, outside a heritage site called Charlesfort. I've always admired it and then walked on to Kinsale, so today I decided to go down there and have a look around the fort itself.

In this case, a picture really does paint a thousand words, so check out the photos. It really is a stunning place, just fantastic to walk around on a nice summer's day. It has spectacular views over the sea and you can see Kinsale in the distance. Kinsale is one of Co. Cork's biggest tourist centres, and if you do make the trip down to Kinsale, do not leave without seeing Charlesfort! It's less than 4 Euro to get in (well, if you're cheap you could just walk right on in, but don't be a cheapskate and pay the 4 Euro, it keeps the place looked after!)
Aditu says:
Those are beautiful pics, we tried to go to Charlesfort when we we're in Kinsale but got there too close to closing and we couldn't get in. Next Ireland trip definitely!
