At the Austral in downtown Adelaide - during our daytime pub crawl

Can you believe it!!!  I am going back so soon.  Nuts!!  I arrive on Saturday night.  Dave picks me up at the airport.  Man, it is SO good to see him!  We are so lucky to have everything work out this way.  I'm so happy to be back in Adelaide so soon.  I'm ready to get a job here and settle in.  But first we spend the rest of the weekend together.  We head into downtown, exploring more of the city, and catch up face-to-face.  We make plans with his parents and I meet them for the first time.  They're lovely!  We have a great visit at their house in Glenelg.  They have a wonderful air about them.  They are funny, charming, and thoughful.  And they welcome me into their lives easily.  Whew!

I start applying for jobs first thing Monday morning.

Lowrider gig at the Fringe
Its crazy because I end up having a trail at a café called ESCA on Monday night, that was fast!  Dave laughs at me and tells me I don't sit still for long.  My trail goes really well and even though they say they have lots of staff they’re going to talk to the owners about me and I should find out this week if I’ve got the job.  In the meantime, I pound the pavement every day applying for more jobs.

I don’t hear from ESCA this week but that is o.k.  I’m busy applying for more jobs, and hanging out with Dave when he’s not working.  We visit with his friends, go into the city a lot seeing the Garden of Unearthly Delights and the Fringe Festival, see his friend Chris’s new house, we make amazing meals and enjoy all the time we get together.  We see his friend’s band, Lowrider, play at the Fringe Festival in Adelaide.

At the Exodus
They are amazing!  The play inside this small cloth tent, designed like a circus tent.  Its intimate and cozy.  Dave and I kick our seats back during the concert and got up to the side stage near the band, jumping and dancing along to the tunes!  After the show the band says hi to Dave and we head back out into the Fringe, exploring the wilds of the vendors, and take two romantic rides on an old farris wheel.

Valentine's Day arrives!  What a day!  It starts with Dave giving me a goregous bouquet ofroses, awe!  We head off to Mt Lofty, a great look out spot over Adelaide, then go to the Cleland Wildlife Park where I get to feed kangaroos, see venomous snakes and best of all, hold a Koala!  Amazing!  The koala is heavy, 12 kg (!) and smells like eucalyptus!  Too cute!  Then we have dinner at one of our favourite places, the Oyster Bar.  Yum!  Its sparking wine, oysters and tapas for dinner outside along the marina.  I love it here!!!

Not bad for my first week and half living in Adelaide eh!!
