T'was 8pm in the evening that we decided to leave the house, going to EspaƱa where the Florida busline was,we chose this busline amongst the other because according to our travelbook guide this was the most comfortable and convenient. We cant compare though, since this was our first travel to the North. The whole 8 hour travel I was aslept. Love sleeping while in the bus it felt like I am in an hammock..:) We reached Banaue around 6am,was too early, had our breakfast and looked for a tricycle since the jeepney was too late. We bargained and after 30 min maybe or more we were dropped off in the junction and started walking. Few minutes and I wanted to gave up, wow who would not, I was carrying a big backpackfor the 13days up the mountain, I was not hiking anymore for a very long time, dont have good exercise, I dont have energy, I dont have enough for everything.

My boyfriend was so convincing and he was able to dragged up till we reached the saddle after 3 hours of hiking uphill. Then we were in the saddle thought we were already there, then found out that we still need to walk another 2 hours going to Batad rice terraces, I am so tired already and I am nearly passing out. We took a rest along the way, and started seeing the paradise, the green terraces. Wow the views are spectacular, the hills were molded by the hands of God. My tiredness faded away and started smiling, I cant believe it I was there and I saw it for real. Stayed one night in a guesthouse and then we camped for 3 days in the falls. Everyday was just amazing. Fresh air in the morning, crystal clear water from the falls and the joyful brids chriping and flying around..That was great
