Getting close to the end

This morning my knee is playing up and I had been to the glacier before so I decided to stay in our appartment while May, Frank and Andrew went to the glacier before we set off to Christchurch.  I had a cuppa, got rid of the rubbish, did the final tidy up, all the normal stuff and they returned. The road was closed due to a rockfall so they couldn't get through to the walks to the glacier. After all this time getting here which was to see the glacier, I didn't happen.

We were off again. Not so much rain but a long way to go. We didn't stop long at Arthurs Pass but saw the Kea's. Then stopped at a couple of other lookouts and saw more Kea's.

We drove into Greymouth which is a bit out of the way but it was still good to see another town. We were going to go to Shanty town but you have to pay to get in and it was raining so we gave it a miss. We had lunch in a cafe in Greymouth before heading back to Christchurch. The scenery was changing. We were glad to reach Christchurch and get out of the car and stretch. We appreciated having dinner in the hotel restauant. Didn't have to travel any more today!
