Motel 6 Troutdale

I recommend this to people who have low standards. I didn't mind that much, but I would have liked to have been provided with shampoo.

There was no shampoo, and oddly enough, no drawers in the room either. The room was clean, although the one bed in my parents' hotel room had a bunch of ripped holes in the top blanket.

The water was gross. It was HEAVILY clorinated. It made me feel like puking.

The bed was comfy, and the rest of the room was fine.

Pets are allowed, which is a bonus.

The first thing I disliked was the menu. There were ZERO veggi options for me. The dishes seemed a bit overpriced for the type of place too.

There was the salad and soup bar, which I had, but it was a bit disappointing. There just weren't too many options, and if I'm going to eat only salads, then I'd rather buy it in a grocery store.

The worst thing was the waitress. She was extremely rude and agressive. It seemed like she was making commission on how much food she sold, because she was majorly pushing food on us.

My dad had to argue with her for 2 minutes to convince her that he REALLY didn't want any pie. She was really rude. I definitely would not want to go there again.

The menu, though it wasn't too large, did have some great veggi options. I had a quesedilla, which was great! It came with homemade salsa and sour cream. mmmmmm..

The restaurant itself is very beautiful, since it is inside the heart of the old Edgefield Manor.

There were wines, whiskeys and beers available that are all made on the Edgefield property.

The staff were all very nice, and the food was served pretty quickly.
