We went to a little tiny hole in the wall, non tour group center restaurant, where I ordered Chicken Tangine, It was just to die for. Sadly the food started out so so so good, then by the last night it was shit, no offense to the Moroccan culture. Maybe the lack of spice finally got to me. Anyways, the server at the restaurant was very nice and as helpful as he could be not speaking fluent english.
After the restaurant we headed to the panorama of the Medina and on our way came across a strike, one that everyone seemed to know about except me. What happens was a few days prior there were people in the Mosque, and the ceiling caved in killing 39 people. There were so many people protesting, and the cops looked extremely equipped (shields and guns and all heavy beating equipment). We also passed the cemetery where people that were killed in the accident were still being buried.
The panorama was gorgeous, but was tainted since you knew what was happening and couldn't help but feel hopeless for all the families that lost their loved ones.
From here we were headed to Volubilis.
