The Trip Home
December 21, 2006
The next week was another week of work, followed by our trip home. As you might imagine, traveling half way around the world a few days before Christmas was not an easy task.
Before we left Rome, we found that the Denver Airport was closed, which meant that our flight from Frankfurt to Denver was cancelled. We scrambled and managed to get our flight changed to go to Chicago. So we proceeded to fly from Rome to Frankfurt to Chicago, only to find that Chicago was a dead end. There were no flights going out of Chicago to anywhere and it could be several days before anything was available.
I managed to get a seat on a flight to Minneapolis and Boise, but 4 guys from our group ended up renting a car and driving from Chicago to Boise. They made it just before Christmas.
That was the trip. This has been my first Trip Blog. I have several others to try adding. Thanks for reading.
