Cannes or "Life is a festival"
Cannes is one of the best-known cities of the French Riviera and its motto is: "Life is a festival". The city is famous for the annual Cannes Film Festival and also for the luxury shops, fancy restaurants, high life society, expensive dressed people...
Even the ladies walking their little dogs (especially Bischons, Poodles, Westies :-) are very stylish dressed (Chanel, Hermes, Louis Voutton...). It`s not my case, I have no dog, so I need no Chanel, haha!
For me the most beautiful place in Cannes is La Croisette, that was popularized first time by Coco Chanel and is slightly similar to the Promenade des Anglais in Nice.
Along the sandy beach there are expensive restaurants opened only at lunch time (starting with 12 o`clock) where you can enjoy sophisticated meal or drink a good french wine. You can find also numerous designer shops, fancy boutiques, lovely hotels.
All tip top quality and very expensive as you would expect from a town like Cannes.
