My Sunday started earlier than anyone else's, since I was slightly suffering from jet lag. I used the time to call home to talk to Mom and Dad. I woke Mom up, but Dad was already out for his Sunday morning ritual, like I knew he would be.
I went to church with Kim and Nadalee. It was a contemporary non-denominational service which is completely not what I'm used to. The service took about an hour, and even the pastor wore jeans. We went back to their apartment for a quick lunch -- I ate a granola bar, 2 bananas, and an apple. Then, we headed to the stadium for the Cardinals game.
I was excited. This was my first pro football game, ever. And, to be quite honest, I don't understand the game. Our seats were in practically the very top row, but I'm not complaining.
After the game, we went to Peter Piper's Pizza. It's kind of like a Chuck E Cheese for adults. We ate dinner first -- I got a chef salad that wasn't the greatest, but we also tried fried zucchini. Then, we played games. I placed a couple rounds of Skee-Ball (my favorite!!) and the fortune games.
The dessert, I treated Kim and Nadalee to frozen yogurt at Desert Swirl. The little shop had an array of flavors, but I got peanut butter and Arizona Sunset (mixed mango and strawberry). Not so good together, but delicious on their own. We sat outside for nearly an hour, reminiscing about high school.
When we got back to their apartment, we had a slumber party where we popped popcorn and watched a movied called 'Rachel Getting Married'. It was a strange indie film, that I lost interest in and fell asleep before it was over.
