This was the first place I stayed at when visiting Chichen Itza. Posada Olalde offers by far the best overall value on a room. The Posada Olalde offers several individual rooms in the original main structure and a number of free standing bungalows surrounding a private courtyard. On my last visit I rented a two bedroom bungalow for 5 days at $18.00 per night. The individual rooms were $22.00 for a single and $27.00 for a double. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

This was the first place I stayed at when visiting Chichen Itza. I was directed to the Posada Olalde by a guide at Chichen Itza. I have since stayed at 3 other places (Piramide Inn, Posada Chac Mool and Posada el Carrousel) in Piste and Posada Olalde offers by far the best overall value on a room. Posada Olalde offers several individual rooms in the original main structure and several free standing bungalows surrounding a private courtyard. On my last visit I rented a two bedroom bungalow for 5 days at $18.00 per night. The one bedroom bungalows were a few dollars less. The individual room were $22.00 for a single and $27.00 for a double. I have never rented the individual rooms but have been in several of them and thought they were better than the bungalows. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They helped me arrange a guide and horses to visit numerous small ruins not visited by the typical tourist.
