This was my very first trip to Greece. Our first stop was Meteora which was absolutely amazing! We saw the convent & monastery that were built atop rock formations by monks. They had no stairs leading up when they built them, because they wanted to live in seclusion. I captured pictures of the machine they created to hoist materials up to the top. They have the most beautiful chapels. Since I knew to wear a longer skirt when entering a church, chapel or cathedral, I didn't have to wrap up like the others. They provided the women in shorts with a sarong type wrap as well as the men in shorts. It was so peaceful...

Our second stop was Delphi which was very interesting. I am not Greek mythology savvy, so I learned a lot.
Athens was our very last stop & much different & very typical of a large city. We visited the Parthenon & Pantheon. Once again, I loved the architecture and the incredible use of marble. The Olympic Stadium was the most beautiful stadium I have ever seen...even the seating is marble!!! :D
