I have figured out an itinerary that I think may work. I need to make sure that this is exactly what I want to do particularly quickly because I will have to book a flight to Belize if that's what I choose to do. Anything can be changed except for the flight there and the flight home.

sounds like you have your trip pretty well planned. Did you know there are 2 puerto viejos? puerto viejo del sarapiqui is closer to bocos de toro so i assume thats where you are going. i think puerto viejo de talamanca is south of limon but im not sure. make sure you dont get on the wrong bus, i almost did

Looks like you'll be in CR the same time as me! You should take the boat from Montezuma to Jaco and get on a bus outta there. You should go to Manuel Antonio! It's probably an hour or so bus ride from Jaco.. It was my favorite place in CR... sooo beautiful, perfect beaches, amazing sunsets, fun nightlife and really nice locals... Jaco is known for prostitutes and cocaine... :/ yikes
