Bani --> Dori

Our last day in Bani I started feeling strange. I had no appetite, started crying out of the blue and was constantly thirsty. As the day went on, I also got more and more nauseaus. My boyfriend said I felt hot, but I didn't think that was any wonder considering it was over 40°C. I was glad it was only a short bus ride to Dori. The walk to the hotel seemed very long though. I normally walk quite fast, but now my boyfriend had to carry my bag and I still couldn't keep up with him.
When we got to the hotel, we decided to have a drink outside before checking in. I had a tonic but only drank half of it because it made me feel even more nauseaus and it didn't seem to quench my thirst anyway. When we went to our room, I had just enough time to run to the toilet and start throwing up (good thing that didn't happen on the bus!).
I rested a bit, drank a lot of water and joined my boyfriend and his friend Omar in the TV room. We talked a bit and after a while I said I was going to bed early. Then I had to throw up again. Since I'd had only water, the "just something I ate" theory started sounding less plausible. Could it be food poisoning? I went to bed and my boyfriend said he was going out and would bring me more water when he got back. Being ever more thirsty, I drank all the water I had left and then after a while sent him an sms saying "bring me more water. so thirsty" He quickly followed my orders. He said I felt really hot now and asked me if my muscles ached. I said yes and he said I must have malaria. I had a pretty miserable night. Normally when I'm ill I just sleep it off, but I felt too bad to even do that.
