We started the trip with a daiquiri to go and walked a few blocks to the main strip... LOL I still don't know the street names yet! ;P I'll try to find out for y'all! ;P:P
It was cold.... again!!! What the heck!! was the rated PG version of my thoughts.... I mean I left the north for warmer regions and the freaking cold weather just follows me!! hahaha!! and we couldn't walk into a bar with outside drinks nor were we gonna waste good drink!!! While we waited what seemed like forever, I was beginning to think that the parade was a farce!! HAHAHA I came to a point where I was thinking that I was going to die from frost bite without seeing a parade!!!
Luckily there was no frost bite and I did get to enjoy an awesome parade!!
the theme was love by the Orion Krew!
LOTS of marching bands!! I love the drum section!! I couldn't believe that half the cheerleaders and stepping crews were wearing tiny uniforms in the cold!! but I guess all the movement kept them warm.
It was fun!! Lots of families out! several people starting Cheers for a Black and Gold superbowl and the creativity of the floats! I was pelted in the face by plastic cups, candies and of course beads! LOL the little kids threw harder than the adults! we had to keep ducking when the kid's float passed!
All my beads are being sent home to NJ as a birthday gift for my wonderful nieces!!! They can share them with all their friends!
AND FYI I did NOT show skin for those beads!!! LOL, my mother has already given a lecture!
