I'm starting my city trail, leaving behind my footprints and capturing beautiful scenery and sharing my journey with everyone.

Daytrip visiting Petra in Den Haag & Scheveningen

I’ve arranged to meet Petra for the first time in Scheveningen for afternoon tea in one of the boardwalk café over there. But the weather was not great so we decided to stay in Den Haag instead.

I brought her to Lapsang café, I used to go there with my friend for their quiche.

I’m a quiche lover and sadly not many café over here sell quiche, there was once my friend and I passed by this café and saw them serving quiche that is how I get to know this café.

Too bad they have their menu changed so no more quiche in the menu, oh that is disappointed:(

We placed order for Lemon cake instead.

When the service staff served us the cake, it tasted really superb!!

In the beginning I thought probably an ordinary lemon cake, but turn out to be cheese filling lemon cake.

I’m also a cheesecake lover so I’m greatly satisfied with the cake and Petra too:)

After the tea, we thought of staying in Den Haag to do some shopping, when we looked at the sky, the thunder clouds had drifted away and we were happy to see that, so we decided to take the tram to Scheveningen.

I especially love those boardwalk cafes by the beach.

Those boardwalk cafes and restaurants will be set up during March to September every year. Is really nice to sit there enjoying the drink in the cool breeze.

While we were travelling in the tram, Petra pointed out to me The Peace Palace. When the tram approached Scheveningen, she pointed out to me where she used to live and I told her I haven’t seen that part of Scheveningen before.

Where I use to go is just the beach area, and the beach here is very popular.

We were glad we made it to Scheveningen and is really a nice and cozy meetup.

Lapsang Cafe
Lapsang located in Den Haag near to the central shopping district, is a small cozy café. I came to know this café when I passed by with my friend and saw them serving quiche.
The décor of the café gives a warm and home feeling. They have quite a wide selection of tea from English tea to various fruit and Chinese tea.
Is a great place for a small gathering with friends and have some small bites.
They serve nice sandwiches and cakes.
