Machu Picchu
Wake up at 4.00 am to line up to catch one of the first busses bringing you from Agua Calientes to
Climbing (oef!) the last part of the Inca trail we reached the point where many photos are taken…… at 6.00 am…… clear weather we had a absolutely beautiful view on
We had a guided tour for about 2 hours. The guide had a good story, informed us about the history and all the main places of intrest, and succeeded in keeping all of us involved. Good job! After the tour part of our group were climbing Huayna Picchu, brave guys (and girls!)!!
I looked for a strategic spot to sit town and admired the view and loved the atmosphere. It was kind of unreal to be there and see this world famous place.
Around 2.00 pm we took a bus down to the village, had to walk back to our hotel (up-hill again) to get our backpacks. Had a nice meal and walked to the railway station to catch the train to
Back at the hotel the suitcases and the showers were waiting! A long but special day.
