Lower Cullasaja Falls - a new delight!

I really am unable to express how much I adore Highlands and the surrounding area.  It was great fun to share the beauty with Laura, especially on such a lovely day.  The weather was ideal, with sunshine complementing lingering warmth from the holiday.  Better yet, we had dodged the rainy weather responsible for magnifying the area’s lovely water falls.

Being an impromptu voyage we had no hiking gear, so the tour featured the falls you may pretty much turn off the road to witness: Bridal Veil Falls and Dry Falls.  But we were truly in a bonus situation and scored a falls I had missed earlier.  During my other visit the turn off for Lower Cullasaja Falls had been parked full.  Timing is everything and there was plenty of room today, so another gem was appreciated.

Once in town we hoofed around, checking out a few of the many trendy shops there (somehow I did not do this when visiting by myself, lol).  Then it was on to lunch at the Ugly Dog.  All these highlights excepting Lower Cullasaja have been reviewed before, so that is the sole addition down below.
