We are kicking it back a notch today. Heading over to the Freemont District for the famous Sunday Market. www.freemontmarket.com. Then it's off to Chinatown.
Took #5 bus back over to Freemont crossing the Aurora Bridge. It's the hippy and art all rolled up into one. The market was really neat. Lots of Arts and crafts, food, vintage clothes. The crowd was mixed with young and old alike. The sun never seemed to come out today and it was cold and windy. While in Freemont we decided to visit the troll anyway since we were so close. They were doing road work on the bridge but the troll was uncovered and there where plenty of people getting their picture taken.
We took the #5 back to the Space Needle and took the monorail to Westlake Mall .Under the Westlake Mall is the light rail system and bus services. From there we got on the light rail and took that out to Chinatown / International District. Took photos of Hing Hay Park and its Pagoda. Great mural work on the side of a building of a Dragon. This area of town was a little seedy. Caught a homeless man peeing on the wall. What are you gonna do.
We deceided to head back to the hotel. The wind and cold was getting to us so we decided to head back to the hotel.
It was Zeek's for dinner tonight. There pizza is really good. But tonight we had to send ours back. They over cooked it. The second time around it was fantastic. We had the Hawiian...delicious.
