Autumn is here! Whether warm sunshine, colourful leaves and fresh cider or grey clouds, heavy storms and muddy puddles - travelling around brings many varied impressions!

Excursions are a must!

The first impression of the Spreewald
All of us were looking forward to this excursion, for sure! Travelling around, getting to know some more regional surroundings and enjoying a few relaxing hours is one of the nicest and most welcoming thing about studying or working.

Lucky us, the weather couldn't have been more lovely and sunny on this autumn day! Funny that we were prepared for muddy trails or thick raindrops but nobody had thought about bringing sun glasses or sun screen, never mind.

After we had listened to a lecture about the biosphere reserve "Spreewald" we hopped on these traditional boats and were floated along the river Spree and its courses. Savouring a piece of pure nature was quite glorious! A little and informative hike rounded this likable short trip up.

Out and about in (almost) untouched nature!
If you're visiting the region of the biosphere reserve Spreewald going on a traditional boat tour is absolutely recommended!

The Spreewald region in the south-east of Brandenburg is a favourite destination among tourists from near and far. About 950 km (of more than 1.500 km of watery routes) of the river Spree are waiting for being discovered.

There are countless of little companies all over the place as in Lübben and Lübbenau, Schlepzig and Burg, that offer a varied range of idyllic trips that bring you back to the roots of a beautiful and natural world.
As soon as your boat, steered by an experienced helmsman with the help of a wooden punt (or partly a motor), you're able to lean back and start looking for the native kingfishers.
There are many tours of different lengths available that are organized quite reliably. The helmsmen are friendly, witty and keen on telling you more about the multi-faceted structure of this pretty reserve.

All you have to do is picking a route at your option and stretching a point! Floating around the Spreewald is a lovely and reasonable way of savouring a marvelous scenery!
