Our first stop was at the cliffs above Rodakino where we had a beautiful view on Koraka Beach and the Lybian Sea.
Sellia is a nice village from where you have a great view on Plakias. Not far from the village you find the Kotsifou gorge. The road goes right through it. A little church has been built into the rocks there.
Plakias was the destination we've choosen but we drove a dertour over the mountains to see some other villages aswell. Mirthios, Mariou and Asomatos were their names.
Finally we arrived at Plakias which is a busy and very touristic village. For some reason I was happy I haven't booked a hotel there. It was too crowded for my taste. We strolled around the taverns and shops a bit and around noon we decided to go to the beach since (as I hoped) the wind calmed down.
It was a lazy afternoon on the beach. Just relaxing, swimming and sun bathing. Awww, it was awsome :)
At 4 p.m. the wind got stronger again and I felt like sandblasted by the little pebbles on the beach. We packed our clothes and drove back to Rodakino.
Klaus has read a review about a restaurant in Frangokastello and he was curious to try if it's as good as they said. To cut a long story short, it was ;) I'll write a review later.
But before we went to the restaurant we've been to the beach for a beautiful sunset. In Rodakino you can't watch a sunset due to the mountains around. I was very sad about it. I love sunsets :) At least I saw one there. It was a very nice one ;)
After dinner we stopped again to take some photos of the floodlited castle of Frangokastello.
