Waiting for the first flight

This vacation was special because I was very curious about this country with his culture, colors and many, many temples and religions. Highlights were of course the Taj Mahal, the holy river Ganges in Varanasi, and meeting the locals at there homes.

Waiting for the first flight

Air hotel Wartburg. We stayed here the first night to be close to the airport.
We arrived at the airport and we found a taxi to bring us to our hotel. It is just to the other side of the airport, so it took us max 10 minutes to get there. We took this hotel because we have a very early flight to London the next day, and this hotel was much cheaper then the once on the airport. At the reception everything went fine and we went to our room. It was quit noisy because a lot of plains where taking off from the airport. We hoped that there where not that many flights at night. We went to the restaurant and had a few drinks. The waitresses where not that friendly, it looked like they wanted everybody to go to bed early. They didn't listen to your wishes, so sometimes you have to ask 3 times before you got your drinks. Again very noisy because of the plains. On the terrace there where a few Dutchman and we had a quick talk to them. We decide to go to bed, because we had to get up early next morning.

We didn't oversleep ourselves so on time we where checked out and waiting for our taxi outside. It came perfect on time and brought us to the right terminal within 5 minutes. Now the trip really begins.....

This hotel is very close to the airport and is reachable very easy with bus, train or taxi. You better not walk to the airport, because you have to know the small streets over the airport. The rooms where clean but the views are not. You look on the streets. At daytime there is a lot of noise because of the plains from the airport taking of and landing. At night we did not hear anything.
The waitresses where not so kind to us. The receptionist was the opposite. She is very kind and helpful. The price is good. Much better than the hotels really on the airport. So if you just need a night to sleep, waiting for your plane, it is a good choice to stay here.
