Journey @ the New Orleans Arena, 9/26/09!

Journey @ the New Orleans Arena

The New Orleans Arena was packed for the concert! The show was completely sold out! It was amazing seeing so much people in one place. It must be such a rush to perform in front of so many people! My seat was in the second row from the stage, seat 14.

Night Ranger opened for Journey. They sang pretty much all their hits to include “Sister Christian” and “(You Can Still) Rock in America”. It was so awesome! I grew up with bands like Journey and Night Ranger so it felt a bit nostalgic being there. I remember singing along to their songs as a kid no older than 10. It’s incredible that the guys in these 80’s rock bands still have the juice to keep putting on amazing shows!

There was a short intermission between bands so I used the time to load up on beer and a new Journey shirt! It was ridiculously expensive but I guess I was just a little bitter about the price I paid for my second row seat. Journey performed most of their big hits and a few new songs. They have a new singer. He’s not Steve Perry but he’s still really good! He brings a lot of energy to the show! It was a great show! Everybody was bobbing and singing to the music! So much energy! It’s definitely the best show I’ve been to all year!
