Yadi and Alan, Pisco Sour and Caipiroska
It was almost 6pm when I got a phone call. It was from Alan. He finally arrived in Lima and was at the hostel ready to meet up. He asked me how we could do to meet, when I told him that I'd meet 2 other friends at his hostel! How convenient. So, no need to go anywhere, yay!

I arrived to the hostel about 7pm and met Shane and Kevin. Before going somewhere, they wanted to arrange their flight to Cusco. No prob! I think they were a bit worried about being just by myself at the bar, but then I saw Alan! How cool! I would stay with him and we both would wait for the guys. How I met Alan? Well, he sent me a message on TB. He was in Ecuador when he read a review I wrote about a cafe and then joined this site, hahaha.

That was hilarious! So, somehow I was responsible for him becoming a TB, yay! Alan is currently living in Brazil and was telling me about how he decided to change his career and to leave everything behind to pursue a dream. How impressive! Well, I'm doing something sort of similar, going to study abroad for 1 year. And what I'll study is not that related to my former career. It was good to find some encouraging words and realizing I'm not the only crazy one! It was very fun chatting with Alan. We spent about 2 hours chatting and decided to go downstairs and look for the guys.

They were still working on their tickets, but we didn't have to wait long until they were ready to go. Mmm, where to go now. Well, we were walking distance from one of my fav. bars "Tayta". I was so surprised I didn't know the current waiters and bartenders.
the whole gang!
.. It was still early, so we found a nice spot, a very comfortable sofa. The waiter wanted us to move since that spot if for larger groups, but we were expecting 2 other guys to join us.

After having a beer and ordering something to eat, it was time to go for cocktail. We were in Peru and having pisco was a must! But we didn't get the traditional pisco sour, but the chilcano, that has ginger ale. It was very good. We all were sharing out traveling experiences and just talking about our lives. Shane and Kevin would go to Mancora and would leave next day in the afternoon. So, they would have time to explore Lima during the day. It was time to be a good Ambassador and give them some ideas about what to do. Same for Alan, who wrote it down on a napkin, hahaha.

Suddenly the show started. Well, not a big show, just a musician, so we left the sofa and moved to the other part of the bar. It was great there and we got a nice table. While we were there the 2 guys we were expecting arrived! The more, the merrier! We were a fun multicultlural gang, love it! After spending some time there it was time to go. I had to work the next day and the guys should try to see as much as possible before going to their next destination. Another regular Tuesday in Lima, yay!
