I asked him what they'd like to do in the city and so far they just made a reservation in one of the best restaurants in town, hahaha. Ok, one of the days I'd take them to the market :) But not today. We met at 6pm at their hostel. It was very nice to meet the guys. Mmm, my first idea was walking along the malecon, but they were there in the morning, so instead of that we walked to the huaca (pre-inca pyramid). I knew it was closed, but it looks so nice with the lights.
They both were impressed with the pyramid and found the restaurant atmosphere cool. We were talking about our home towns and travels. The guys liked the Pisco Sour, but were more excited about the giant toasted corn, hahaha. They also told me, they tried the cebiche for lunch and just loved it! It was about 7pm, but their reservation was for 9:30pm so we still had a lot of time to kill. Where to go now? I wasn't driving, so we didn't have many options...
oh well, what about the Pisco Place? hahaha, and there we went.
The original Pisco Sour was too sour for Dan, so he ordered my favorite: Maracuya sour (passion fruit) and it became his favorite too, hehehe. David got a Camu Camu one, also sour, and I got one with Granadilla & Strawberry. As usual all of them were delicious. The guys were telling me what they have planned for their trip in South America. They'd go to Cusco, then back to Lima before flying to Buenos Aires. A short, but full of adventure trip. And of course, we talked about food too, hahaha. David mentioned before that he was getting a bit hungry and maybe could have a snack, but no! Think about "Astrid & Gaston" - the restaurant, hahaha. I also told him, that at the pisco place, we'd get the complimentary evil corn, hehehe.
Wow! Those doubles were big! but tasty :P It was about 8:45pm when we left the place. I spent a great time with the guys and hoped they enjoyed the beginning of their 1st night in Peru. We agreed to meet tomorrow morning. I'd come for them and drive to the market. Yay! Foodies' adventure would begin, hehehe.
