Today i was invited to see the places my grand grand grand parents and even further back in time has lived. I knew this has to be very isolated, and driving in this area i could imagine how difficult it must have been in those days to visit another "town". No wonder all the families stayed in the same area, you could only walk or go by horse. The small places where not that small as i imagined, in fact Aalten is much bigger as i expected. And Bredevoort is a really nice old small town which is famous for all it bookstores. And you can notice they do trust people, because i have been in stores while the owner was gone. Dinxperlo is divided by a street. On the left hand you have holland with dutch build houses, and on the other side of the street you will find German houses. A completely different building style. Just in one street. Bocholt is in Germany and is bigger. There are of course a lot of delicious coffee houses with all kinds of bread and cake! I bought Red wine bread!!! It is amazingly good!! Never tasted it before.
This area is mostley not visited by foreigners, so with this pictures i wanted to give you an impression how the people live in this area.
