Well... We had our first day to sleep in since pretty much the trip began but alas... it was not to be had.  They are constructing a new building right next door and we were awakened by the construction noise.  LOL  It was just not meant to be in the cards that we would actually get to sleep late.

We knew we wanted to have lunch at La Mar (another of Gaston's restaurants) so after breakfast we meandered our way down to the water front and spent some time just taking it all in.  Miraflores is definitely a nice part of town and we finally made it to our lunch destination.  La Mar is an incredible ceviche restaurant.  The menu was only in Spanish so we relied on the recommendations of our waiter who definitely did not steer us wrong.  We split 3 different dishes, the tuna was by far the best but they were all good.

We meandered our way back towards the hotel but first stopping by the only ruins in Lima, Huaca Pucllana.  Well... a bit of a let down after having seen Ollantaytambo, Pisac and Machu Picchu.  And our guide book even call the "restoration" over zealous.  I would not recommend spending the time to go in.

We then headed back to our hotel to get cleaned up as we were meeting Rylee, our Peru For Less rep.  We had a great dinner Las Brujas de Cachiche.  It was a great opportunity to meet Rylee in person and I would HIGHLY recommend using PFL and Rylee in particular if you are traveling in South America.
