20 hours on coaches gets us into the lake district from sunny San Juan. It's only 6 degrees in San Martin when we arrive, with an icy wind blowing snow of the tops of the mountains.
San Martin is a small ski resort next to Lago (lake) Lacar. In the spring there's lots of walking to be done with good views of the lake and surrounding areas. Didn't encounter any Pumas.
The shops and restaurans have a peculiar fondness for early 'Now' albums.
