San Juan.
November 4, 2009
San Jaun has the best of both worlds, enormous steaks and an all-you-can-eat vegetarian buffet.
Hugo, the friendly security guard on the corner, explained that the steaks are so good in Argentina because the grass the cows eat is the best. We don't understand much Spanish, so he had to explain using an eloborate mime and a leaf. He does another good mime for the Rolling Stones.
Not far out of town is a huge man-made lake. The beaches are empty this time of year, spring temperatures of 30 degrees clearly not warm enough for a day out.
