My 2nd year as a TB and this is what I think :)

Last week I remembered my TB Anniversary was getting closer, but I was so busy the next days that I forgot about it. The day before the anniversary I met a TB - what a surprise - who was new on the site and was impressed with my TB addiction ;) I was telling him about the Meet Up in Lima and realized it was 1 year ago which meant I was almost 2 TB years old! So, we had piscos for our Meet Up and also for my 2nd Anniversary here, my addiction, a great one!

magnet collection is getting bigger, some magnets are presents which means I have to visit those places...
Wow, another TB year is ending and I feel as if I've been part of this site for years and years, hehehe. It's part of my regular life and really enjoy sharing my experiences with this awesome community :)

Last year I was able to keep on traveling, but not as frequently to the USA as the year before. Instead of that I was traveling domestic and also in South America. I can't believe, I have never backpacked here before!!! How silly!!! So glad, I did it. This experience was awesome in many aspects. Just loved it!

During the past year I kept on meeting TB's in Lima, that's something I don't think I'd ever give up... I met really incredible people, a couple moved here for ... who knows how long they will stay in the area. I'm so glad I made such good friends.
have to start hanging them above..
People I met in the past are still in touch and we are even talking about meeting again. So, the TB's became really friends, sweet! But my friends are not just people I met quite a long time ago, but also people I met recently. I can hardly wait to meet them in person either in my hometown or anywhere in the world.

The TB's who are new on the site and I met were intrigued about why I like this site so much, mmm. That's a good question. But the answer is so simple: I like to meet people and know how important is to have a local friend when you are in a foreign country with a different cuture. So I try to help them here, so they will have the best experience possible in my beloved Perucito. If there's something I can do to help, I'll do it.

Last year I had more Mini Meet Ups in Lima and loved all of them.
waiting for me to come back...
Everyone is different and new. Everytime I have fun and feel thankful about the opportunity of learning something new from a different culture and also about my own city. I was able to learn more and more about my hometown and also discovered new places. Simple things in life can be the best ones. It was a win - win!

I remember last year during the Meet Up in Lima, I was saying I'd stop keeping my TB identity as a secret, but it's still a secret. Too hard to explain... Nevermind, I like to keep it for myself. It's my sweet secret, one that makes me smile :)

Ok, here is the balance last year:
Mini Meet Ups 2009: 93
Meet Ups 2009: 1 as attendant
Friends: can't count them all
Featured blogs 2009: 10! OMG! I'm surprised, very happy!
Featured reviews 2009: don't know how to find it out :P

Biggest lesson: Friendship doesn't know frontiers!!!
