The next day our first priority was to make it to the wax museum and use our tickets we purchased the day before. It was quite a walk but it was still early in the day and it was nice to explore the outskirts of London. When we got there we entered the museum and made our way to the top floor to make our way through the museum. Now, it may sound lame, but even though everything is wax in the museum it is still fun to stand next to celebrities and icons. The first part is filled with movie stars and actors ranging from Morgan Freeman and John Travolta all the way to Justine Timberlake and Kate Moss. The next portion focused on movie icons such as Spider-man, the Terminator, Humphrey Bogart (a personal favorite), and even a life sized Hulk. The was also a section for rock stars, the Royal Family, and athletes.
When we left the museum i discovered we were actually just around the corner from Baker Street. We crossed onto the street and made our way down to the famous residence of the worlds greatest detective, Sherlock Holmes. The fictitious master sleuths residence is now a gift shop and museum dedicated to his many mysteries as well has his creator, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. We didn't have time for the museum but we made our way around the gift shop and grabbed a souvenir business card.
On the way back to the center of the city we stopped of to see the beautiful Buckingham Palace. Unfortunately, the changing of the guard only happens on even numbered days, but it was still nice to be outside the gates of the Queen's house. After that, we made our way back to the hotel and got ready to leave the next day. Cheers.
