- we drove to mona vale in the morning at around 11:00am which is a really nice beach and we were there for about 2hrs. the waves are big and the sand is golden and they are better than most beaches in england. we then got changed and went to the green gate pub (a pub) to watch the melbourne cup, a massive horse race which stops the nation, bigger than the kentucky derby and the grand national.

- we all had bets and we all lost and then after the race and after about 500 people had left we were able to order some food and me and tim and a fillet steak sandwich and gareth had a big bowl of wedges. we then met up with sue and angela, a teacher from sue's school and she has a thing for gareth. we all had a few drinks, me more than others, i was trying to make up for lost time.

- sue then dropped us in the city centre and we were going to watch gareth's cousin sam scott in a comedy club, he is 16 years old. in the end all of the "comedians" were not very good and a few had some averagely funny jokes.

- we then left there after gareth had been chatted up by a midget and went and had a maccers and then got the train back to hornsby and a taxi back to the house for around midnight.
