Greek Gods have left us.

In my trip to Greece in 2007...
From the Airport to the city is not more than 1/2 hour, but the strong heat makes you want to wear some fresh shorts as soon as possible. The hotel Grande Bretagne overlooking Syntagma Square, the Parliament building and the ancient Acropolis was the ideal base to discover both mythical and modern Greece.
We visited first the Acropolis and there are no words to explain that feeling while walking through time and history step by step... The Great Greece finally came down to my feet.
On top of the Acropolis you can sense the power of man and the fury of Gods as they collapse together in this wonder of the ancient world.
- I only missed the grapes and the slave with exotic feather fans walking next to me.
Then it's easy to understand why the Gods left us around all those ruins, we try to destroy the peace on earth, it's in our nature.
But in the same nature are also all those incredible talents that we use on math, physics, architecture, astronomy, design and so on, to create and destroy at the same time. All those talents, have walked with man for thousands and thousands of years sculpting the land that I can luckily rediscover today and get a bit philosophical about it.
The Culture of Greece has evolved over thousands of years and you can see it all around you. The modern Greece also grows and doesn't slow down, their metro impressed me with all the ruins conserved underneath as part of the city cultural history.
The food was delicious, go to Palka you won't go wrong, there is day and night food and shopping, as well as lots of touristic souvenirs to choose from.
Although I didn't party there the Greek are very, very good looking and seems very warm and happy all times. OMG, do you believe those lips there? and the skin tones and the eye colors? At times I didn't know what to look, if the wonderful ruins and buildings or at the gorgeous locals that kept my eyes completely distracted. hehehe.
But let's not talk about the Greek Gods, let them just come back to us in another time.
If you ask me, This is a trip you must do, I am up to go again anytime, but Athens has been checked, so I better go to a new world next time.
