Rachel and Kelli
So today is our first full day here and it has been EXCELLENT!!!!!!! We woke up to Rayford knocking on our door at about 8:30, got dressed and went down to the resort restaurant Mo Mo No Hana for a breakfast buffet. After eating, we put our bathing suits on and headed down to the pool to get some sun and drinks. We stayed at the pool until about lunch time and had lunch at the snack bar (ok-ish). The burgers were so so and the fries were about the only thing to write home about. After that we split up and Kate and I went in search of the interenet which was muey expensive. Kate and I went back down to the lagoon to get some more sun. After the lagoon we went and changed and met up with Kelli and Rayford to book our snorkeling trip and catch a taxi into the town of PLAYA!!!! As usual, Rayford made friends with the Taxi Cab driver and tried to talk to him about "Taxi Cab Confessions".
Relaxing all cool...
We shopped up and down 5th Ave. making sure to buy presents and postcards. After that we headed to Yaxche (recommended by A-dub and about everyone else that has been to Playa). It was muey muey deliciosos (sp?). We tried the sampler appetizer and then everyone ordered something different. I had the Conchinita Pibil and the margaritas were very good. After dinner, shopped some more and headed to the Blue Parrot bar (a top 10 in the book) for a beer and then to an Internet bar to catch up on our blog and get some drinks. We are heading back to the resort after this and then to Chicken Pizza (chichen itza) early EARLY tomorrow a.m. love you all and we are alive -rach
Oh, today's blog is titled for the street vendors that yelled and catcalled to all of us.
