Sunfest Take 2

Susan and I had enjoyed our visit to Ocean City, Maryland, and the Sunfest craft show one year before. We decided to do it again this year! But, we'd make an early weekend out of it rather than at the end of a road trip. So, we were off on a Thursday morning, this time heading straight for Ocean City. The route took us up the Capital Beltway to US Highway 50 in the direction of Annapolis and then over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge to the Eastern Shore. Making excellent time, we stopped around 10:30 a.m. for coffee at a Panera Bread in Easton, MD.
We arrived in Ocean City and checked in again to the Holiday Inn at 17th Street.
Sunfest was in place at the south end of the Boardwalk. There were two large Arts and Craft tents with crafters showing their clothing, jewelry, sculptures, artwork, suncatchers, and other hand-made items ranging from clocks to windchimes. Outside, artists and artisans were demonstrating their work. We liked the woodworker and the kitchen utensils he was making. A 50s pop-rock band was playing the entertainment tent. As this was the first day and not yet the weekend, crowds were down.
