Śnieżka - here we go
September 19, 2009
We arrived late, parked teh car and started the trial. At first we wanted to cheat a bit and take the lift to the mountain, but as we got to the lower lift station we gave up. The queue was so long that we would have spent there at least two hours waiting for the lift... by that time we could easily got on the top of the mountain. And so we did. The first few minutes were hard, coz after having sitted few hours in the car we had to warm up. Then it was better. As we went high enough - i mean where the forest ends - and we could see the landscape - the trip started to be really nice. Each step allowed us to see more and more, so that the view changed fats and became more interesting. Finally we could see our day-destination - Śnieżka - the highest mount in Karkonosze.
On the way there we stopped at the upper lift station for some rest - then we decided to buy beer. it cost 17PLN we gave the guy 20pln but he must have been out of mind or at least fallen in love, coz we gave us back to much... we went back to him and said:
"Hey, buddy, u gave us too much money"
and he was so confused and said: "Yyyyyyyyy u r the most fair customer today, thx"
And so we said Its ok, that's just us;) and sat down on the stone and enjoyed the beer, the sun, the company and the fresh mountain-air. After few mins the beer-guy came to us holding another beer in his hand and said: Coz u were so fair to me, here's the free beer for u guys" hahahah
That was nice.
Then we climbed up the Śnieżka-mountain. Over there i met my workmate! haahha World is really pretty small. I didnt know she's been going to Karpacz as well. And so we met unexpected so far away from work.
Then we ate all the kielbasa, cucumbers and other food on the top of the mountain, rested a bit andwent back down. We chose an alternative route back to Karpacz, over Strzecha Akademicka (kinda mountain hostels) and then another one - Samotnia, at the lake. As we arrived to town it was already dark. We reached the hotel but they said, our room was given to other ppl - and so we were pissed off! What a jerk! The owner was so slowly and so helpless, she called several other hotels in order to find us some rooms and after an hour or so she said, there is one free room, but smaller and the bathroom isnt in the room but on the asle (is this a correct word? - nevermind). Anyways, she was so stupid, she should have said that to us at first if we want a smaller room and not made us wait so long. As a 'sorry' she redused the price from 35 to 20 PLN for that room. So it's ok, then we saved some PLNs;) We took that room and refreshed our tired bodies ;) and off course it took forever for the girls to get ready for the dinner. We found some traditional food restaurant in town. And all we had saved on the accomodation we spent for food. It was really expensive:///
Then we got back home after midnight, which wasnt too smart coz next day would be even more tiring...
