After a drive through the Swan Valley we stopped at a chocolate factory. Interestingly some people treat chocolate rather like wine & cigars and the tasting can be quite a serious and scientific business. There are several attributes that high quality chocolate should hold apparently. Like when snapping it, it should should like the breaking of a twig. But that's only with dark chocolate, white chocolate should sound more muffled. Hmm well there you have it. So make sure you listen to your chocolate next time you open that wrapper. And if you don't like what you hear, have a moan. There is a bunch of other stuff i could tell you, but frankly i cannot be bothered. So we proceeded to order a variety of chocolate delights, including a chocolate mud cake, a chocolate sundae, real hot chocolate and a chocolate milkshake. Far too much. It was soo good but i barely finished it. The afternoon, evening and night was spent outside with a whole bunch of people having a proper bbq. Food, drink and company. Cheese, crackers, chips, fruit, dried meats (biltong, droerwors) sausage, chicken, burgers, steak, bread, salad, chutney, apple pie and trifle. Topped with lots of beer. Lovely night.
