The addict was so drugged up on Valium he was babbling to himself and worrying that the boat would have a hole in it. Sitting outside on the front of the boat, water spraying into our faces. Bumped into Max and Kim from the inital tour up north at the Koh Phangnan pick-up stop which was so weird. Love randomly bumping into travellers hundreds of miles from where you last met them. Found out that there is also a bluemoon party in addition to the full, half and black moon party. Basically every night is a party. The hotel asked for a crazy price so we popped down the road found a nice guesthouse right by the beach for 5pounds a night. The beach is incredible, like the postcards. Hanging coconut trees, sand and clear waters. A strong wind was blowing giving the islands this incredible feel. So much better than Koh Samui. Had not eaten all day so went to an Indian Restaurant on the beach, bought a plate of chips and butter roti bread...planted the chips in the bread rolled it up and dipped it into mayonaise. Incredible. I love Thai food but the last two days I have reverted back to some comfort foods. Had a nice swim and positively my earplugs work well so i can swim! Went for dinner by the beach and then strolled through the town which although it still has many "fareng" it has a great feel. Before bed I just sat on the beach in the wind which was a top moment. The most simple things are always the best.
