going closer to the city
It was 1 when we left Manabi province behind and were entering to Guayas province. Landscape changed instantly, not more dr. Seuss trees or desert instead of that there were ricefields and some rice factories. But these weren't the only changes, also the road became a smooth highway, nice! Later the driver told me that most of the presidents only pay attention to Quito and Guayaquil, the biggest cities, forgetting the rest of the country. oh... similar to Peru...

By 2 we were entering to Guayaquil, which is a big city. It was really sunny and warm there. So good I was wearing sandals and a no sleeve shirt. Boots and  sweater were in my handbag ;) The van couldn't make stops in its way to the station like the one in Manta.
we arrived to Guayaquil
We all were driven to the van station. No problem, we had plenty of time. The driver heard I was talking about taking a cab and he told us that he could drive us to the airport, sweet!!! It wasn't for free, but at least we didn't have to walk looking for a cab with our bags, hehehe.

I haven't been able to do the check in online, so good the line was short. Yay! We still had time to kill. At least I was able to get rid of my big bag, hehe. Well, what could we do? I didn't remember have been in the 1st level, so there we went. Found nice couches and got something to eat... it was just something small, so according to Shawn it didn't count as lunch but as snack, hahaha. He said that since I was saying that afrer such a big breakfast, we shouldn't have lunch, hahaha.

Of course, my last snack in Ecuador should be something Ecuadorian. I got a tortilla de verde (plantain) and Shawn got a beef empanada. Both were very tasty and we were completely full, pfff. We were staying there just checking internet and chilling out. I called mom and made sure, she arranged a cab for me. Sweet she took care of that. Mmm, I guess everything was ready.

We went upstairs and Shawn was able to check in now. It was time to say good bye. I was going back to Lima and he was going back to the hills, hehehe. Paid the airport fee, cleared customs and went to my gate. I was thinking I'd have time to change my shoes, but they were already boarding! I arrived just on time...
