Japanese Sewer Covers: A Study

Leave it to the Japanese to put a tasteful, elegant touch on everything -- even sewer covers.  I kid you not.  Some are whimsical, some are abstract, some are colorful.  But all of them involve thought and attention to detail.  And this little tourist appreciated them to an extent that I practically hunted them down.

I assure you I elicited more than my fair share of strange looks while photographing sewer covers.

Hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

Pretty cool all right. And at least they have them. Some places you'll be going, you'll be looking down very carefully indeed!
