Zentralfriedhof - Vienna Central Cemetery

Austria is certainly one of the most beautiful countries around. Vienna is an amazing city with so much history, culture and nature to offer. The food is fantastically unhealthy and it can be a challenge to find anyone friendly...but it's still worth a visit!

Zentralfriedhof - Vienna Central Cemetery

Austrians are fascinated and fixated on death. The way most of them complain you often think they'd actually prefer to be dead. I suppose that was a bit harsh... but I've also been wanting to get to Zentralfriedhof for ages. I was determined to do so while it was still autumn and I could get some eery looking photos. It's an amazing cemetery and well worth the visit. The museum is the second largest in Europe in terms of area and the largest in terms of people buried (over 3million). The jewish section is definitely the most interesting. Due to the fact there are very few jews left in the area they are in a terrible state and would make for the perfect setting for a horror film...

There is also a very long list of famous people buried here (taken from WIkipedia):
