Dave of course caught the first one this day, too!

When we went to work that night, at the shift change, we found out that the Day Crew had caught 6 silver salmon that day….and so now the race was on! AJ decided he wanted to go out fishing that day after work with Dave and I, and Fishing Day Six ended up being THEE day for fishing.

Dave caught two silver salmon, AJ caught two silver salmon, and so did yours truly! The day was truly incredible! We could not go wrong - whenever one person was unhooking a salmon and setting the fish on the fish stringer, another person was catching another fish at the same time.

In less than two hours, we had all caught our daily limit (2 silver salmon per person)! We wondered to ourselves, why we did not have fishing days similar to this one???

We would not see another fishing day like this the rest of our time in Alaska. Triumphant, we returned to the base in good spirits, and celebrated lunch eating some of the very fish we just caught.

Later on we drove to Downtown Anchorage, to a nice local bar/restaurant called "Humpy’s"….in order to try out the local fish, of course! Humpy’s dill and almond breaded halibut is highly recommended, as well as their local microbrew beers!!!
