Woo-hoo Yellowstone CAN be done in a weekend

After 17 hours to drive home due to road closures and freeway divertions, I finally got the kids in the house and in bed by 3am.  Though I knew they would be exhausted for school in a couple hours, I am glad they felt it was worth it.  Perhaps they follow my example.  I was just happy we made it in time to catch 4 hours sleep before I would have to head out for work.  I could make up the rest later in the week.

So for all of you that think that it is half way across the US or too far to go on just a weekend, its not.  It can be done if you make it happen.  If you have kids- take them.  This is an amazing place.  It was just as beautiful now as I remembered it 15 years ago (although more commercialized in some areas).  Definitely glad we made the trip, though we would have loved to stay longer, sometimes you just have to take what you can get.
