Getting the most out of our tropical paradise..

Bocas Del Toro is like a dream really , and you don`t want to wake up...happiness comes easily here...spend the days travelling from beach to beach , one more amazing than the next one....and the weather is always a perfect 35 C and sunny. The evenings with carribean style candlelight dinners with my dear girl and a sky full of stars. Actually as I`m writing this now I`m sitting in my nice little hammock on the seaside veranda of my hotel, Still wet from a little evening swim under the stars.......life is hard , truly is.
We went on a tour with 6 other tourists in a fast speedboat that would take us from island to island to see the coolest beaches. A pretty sweet deal for 20 bucks. There were 4 loud guys from Austria, and another couple that never said anything , and a really annoying little local boy who kept begging us to buy Coca cola for him.
First we went to a special bay to see dolphins...and no dolphins there....but as we drove away loads of dolphins were following the waves created by the boat , and jumping up and down like crazy. They came all the way up to the boat and were playing with eachother in the surface. It was totally amazing to see those great big mammals having fun.
Then we went to different snorkling spots around Bastimentos and Careneros (2 islands). The snorkling was`nt all that impressive , not too many fish , and a bit boring sand and seagrass bottom. Still it was really cool to be swimming around in water that`s close to body temperature.
Red frog beach was good , we even got to see a few red frogs....looked pretty poisonous though....I rather preferred the Capuchin white-faced monkeys we saw while walking to the beach.
The day after we had set our minds on getting a real quality dive ! we went out diving with a dive center that was full of swedes , so not too exotic.... but our divemaster Josè was a 100% caribbean !
The first dive was by a wreck , but other then that there was`nt all that much to see. Still I was just really happy to be back in my true element, especially since it was like 30 ++ Celsius in the water. There was a few cool fish on the dive , like the 5 squids that were swimming in perfect formation , and all of them turning towards me and becoming black as I approached...all ready to fire away their ink at me.
The second dive was by some corals. We saw a variety of fish here, but it did`nt even remotely compete with Egypt or Thailand as a diving destination.
That beeing said it is anyway a quite pleasant experience to go diving here as the people are cool, the weather is great , and the water is exeptionally nice and warm....mmmm...
Unfortunatley we should be leaving this paradise now, as time is short and we still have to se the beauties of Costa Rica and Nicaragua....
Tomorrow is a new day , and we will be heading for Boquete (mostly because I`m a notorious coffe addict and want to go here to pick my own coffe , grind it and make the worlds best cup of the black gold!)
