Sunday morning and once again beautiful crisp air and not a cloud in the sky. The view from the ski house balcony over looked the village and Lake Crowley, just beautiful! This morning I decided to sit out on the balcony, drink my coffee and play some trance rhythms on my drum, awwwh so awesome!

The girls were cooking breakfast and preparing for our departure to Mt Whitney portal where we'll spend the next couple of days camping. Prior to departing Mammoth we all decided to check out the local art festival that was happening in town, it was truly wonderful... I love the arts. Well it's time to hit the road... destination Mt Whitney.

Two hour pass by and we're entering Lone Pine CA. Here we will find the Ranger Station to pick up our hiking permits, only 100 permit allocated per day.

Wow this whole trip has been exciting to this point and the big day starts early tommorrow morning on the trail. But first we need to set up camp. These girls are good and I mean that, they were very well prepared. One thing though, there tent was big enough for one and thier was three of them... he he he! I guess one is going to sleep with me.

Before bed we needed to go to town and get dinner. We ended up at the Mt Whitney Cafe where we all ordered spaghetti. We definitely wanted to load up on carbs for the hike in the morning and we did... uhgg the food Sucked, not quite like the Mobil Gas Station. Well time to head back to camp and get to bed, 2am will arrive very soon.
