Fujian trip

Xiamen is a good two days stop/arrival. Nice great temples, dozens of public garden, one large botanical garden with 5000 species, nice beaches. But very modern city located on one island.
In front there is a tiny island called Gulangu Yu Island, a 10 minutes ferry travel. From N to S 2 kilometres, and from E to W 1 kilo...
The key point is: There is not any car, (only some mini electrical shuttles to tour round the island + some for police +hospital) no taxi, no truck, no motor bike, NO NOISE and no bicycle. (And Gulangyu is very clean). Only pedestrians. Absolutely all goods, from tea to bricks and sand to concrete are delivered by ship from Xiamen and hand carried in the narrow streets.  In Gulangyu most of the houses, very big villa were raised during 19 century by rich overseas Chinese in a European -Chinese style. I spent 5 days there, visiting several museums including famous 100 pianos museum. Most of people spent few hours (question of time) but 5 days there and you are in another world.
World heritage Site, Ha Ka Tou Lou.http://whc.unesco.org/en/list/1113. Incredible earthen circular houses some have 4 floors. I spent one night there, there is little comfortable accommodation, and there were ZERO tourists..(November…)
Wuhishan,http://whc.unesco.org/en/list/911. 5 days trekking in  unspoiled mountains in China...14 hours comfortable train from Xiamen to Wuyi. Think before...(But there is an airport)
