Delicious breakfast at Bread & Chocolate
Had breakfast at Bread & Chocolate with a few people on the tour.  It was our guides favorite place to eat in Puerto Viejo, she was raving about their bagels.  I must admit the food was delicious, I wish I had more time to try some of the other items on the menu.  Sadly they close at 2:30PM and are closed on Monday and Tuesday.

After breakfast we walked back to the hotel to meet up with everyone else.  A lot of the activities and rentals weren't available today because it was Sunday.  I wanted to rent a golf cart for the day and drive it to Manzanillo to check out the nature reserve, but the rental place had locked their key inside the store.

Instead I rented a bike and rode it all the way to Manzanillo.  It was a nice ride on a pot hole filled rode.  You had to pay close attention to the road or it would have been an extremely bumpy ride.  It soon started to rain so we stopped at a lamp shop for some shelter.  It didn't seem like the rain was going to stop anytime soon, so I pulled out my poncho and continued down the road.  We stopped again at a small store, where we caught up with 3 of the group members that managed to rent scooters.  It was a pretty easy and relaxing ride until I got to the 2 hills along the way.  I didn't want to waste my energy trying to power through the hills so I just walked it up.  I was pretty damn tired when I finally reached Manzanillo, but at least it stopped raining.

I met the rest of the group on scooters at the restaurant for lunch.  We all ordered delicious pork ribs and a Pepsi for lunch.

After lunch, we hung out along the beach and went swimming for a little bit.  It started to rain again so we decided to head back to the hotel before it got too late.  We made a quick stop at Cocles Beach to watch the surfers.  The waves were crazy and it was really cool watching them.  We starting riding faster and made it back to the bike shop right before it started to pour down.  By the time we reached the hotel we were soaked and our legs were covered in mud.  It was pretty fun riding the bike in the rain between the beautiful beach and rain forest.  Tiring, but fun.

We all met up and walked over to Loco Natural for dinner.  We stopped by the travel excursion office to sign up and pay for white water rafting on River Pacuare tomorrow.  Loco Natural was a really nice place, it had a great ambiance and delicious fushion food.  After dinner, we walked back to the hotel and had a couple of drinks in the bar.
