London is gritty. Grimy. Cloudy. Rainy. But it's a wonderful city to go visit, and possibly live if it weren't for the outrageous cost of living. Example: four donuts cost £4, or $8. That's enough to get Krispy Kreme for the whole office!
The whole town is old, but the cars are brand new. The people are austere and stand-offish, yet they wear some of the nicest shoes and suits I've ever seen. It's a city of contrasts. The world-renowned modern art Tate Museum is in place of a giant old power plant on the river, and it's amazing. Big Ben stands boldly over the same river, which is dirty and brown.
