This trip was just after the recent hotel bombings in Jakarta. so i am either safe or stupid. or just lucky. as it turned out, safe and lucky.

this time round, to save money, i booked a serviced apartment instead of a hotel. ascott has a good rep and they had massive discounts to celebrate their anniversary. best of all, ascott is where the big shopping mall is. i wont have to worry about food and entertainment or horrible taxi rides in horrendous traffic jams.

and as usual, i booked my flight via zuji. got so used to their service, i cant imagine ever going to a travel agency again. maybe if i had to travel somewhere i've never been before or had to do sightseeing. but haha, i hate sightseeing. if i want to sightsee, id rather stay home and watch travel shows on the tv/cable. less pain, all gain. no. a holiday is what it should be. free and easy. just doing nothing and out of touch with work worries.

so i arrived at the airport, same as ever, tons of taxi touts. just avoid them and head for the blue bird stand to get a safe taxi into town.
