My European vacation had been in the works for a while, I just didn’t know that I would do it through Contiki tours. Originally, I was just going to grab my backpack, buy a Eurorail pass and set out on my own. But, with limited time, I decided doing a tour would allow me to see as much as possible in my timeframe, therefore, I chose a 23 day European Vista tour, through Contiki. It turned out to be a fantastic decision!

DAY 1-Kelowna to London

Travel day from Canada, leaving from Kelowna and going to Vancouver, then on to London. The one thing about this trip that I was certain of is that I do it on my own. After a hectic school year (I’m a teacher), I was ready to leave everything behind and start the summer fresh. I was looking forward to getting away from everyone I knew and experiencing new things and meeting new people. With that, though, came a bit of apprehension, namely about the people I’d be traveling with. My biggest concern was that there would be conflict between the people on tour, and that my roommate and I would not get along.
