yarra river. st kilda bridge
so today i wanted to see as much of melbourne as i could.. and since my cousin had work.. i got picked up by my aunt and she dropped me off at the Dandenong Station.. i took a train bymyself to the city.. i ordered the tickets with the best australian accent i had so as to blend in. hahah the day pass cost around 10 ausdollars... which was pretty steep i think.. anyway i got on the train..put on my ipod... and opened my book which i was reading (Robert Ludlum) very good book.. i was really into the book that i actually forgot i was on a train.. and passed my stop...i realized this when i looked up and saw that i was actually heading away from the city.. so i got off the next station and caught a train back into the city.. this time i got off on Flinders station near the Yarra river where there was a tourist info spot.
. i got a map and started walking.. i walked across the Yarra River the these parks and museums (Victoria is called the garden state) and walked into the Dali Exhibit.. however i had to pay loads of money so i quickly walked out.. i filled out a questionare about drinking from some kid for his project.. then i walked back across the river and got some food at Hungry Jacks!! (havent had that in 20 years or so..) people watched for a bit while i ate.. then walked the city.. saw the house of parlament and chinatown and more parks and shopping centers and the victoria market.. pretty much walked the entire day.. saw a few tourists..(the ones holding cameras) .. i gotta say.. melbourne is exactly how i remembered it.. except for more diversity.. which is good.. after i explored pretty much all of melbourne.. i got to flagstaff station and went back home.. walked back from the station.. but at least it was good exercise..
